It is with sadness that I inform you of the loss of one of the legendary members of the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. G.S. Gopalakrishna. "Dr. Krishna" as he was referred to, was part of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition from 1976-2019. When the Department of Pediatrics had patients at Ben Taub General and Jefferson Davis Hospitals, Dr. Krishna worked extensively with these children and their families, and for many he was their only consistent provider.
