The FWG provides a unique opportunity to make progress on manuscripts, research projects, grant proposals, or any writing-related task, all in the company of other writers. There is no formal instruction or feedback-just focused time to write.

A special guest seminar by Dr. Blaz Zupan, PhD, Professor, University of Ljubljana, co-appointed at Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Education, Innovation & Technology.

Dr. Zupan teaches artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining and bioinformatics. He leads the development of the open-source machine learning tool, Orange. He also leads a fifteen-member bioinformatics laboratory at the University of Ljubljana, where his research focuses on explainable AI and combinations of machine learning and data visualization techniques.
