Trainee and Faculty Facilitators Needed for GME CLER Orientation for Incoming Residents and Fellows!

There will be two sessions per orientation day to serve as a facilitator. The sessions will be Patient Safety and Quality Improvement from 9:15 to 10:05 AM and Professionalism and Supervision from 10:15 to 11:05 AM on the dates below. The sessions will be virtual via Zoom, case-based with detailed facilitator guides provided. The Office of Medical School Admissions is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2024-2025 Admissions Interviewing Subcommittee (AIS). The AIS is charged with interviewing and evaluating applicants from varied backgrounds and with varied values, beliefs, interests, experiences, and cultural viewpoints to ensure a diverse student body. AIS elections are held annually over the summer or as needed, to maintain at-large membership that consists of two-thirds faculty/alumni/residents/fellows.

We are excited to announce the Housestaff Quality and Safety Council's annual Quality and Safety Roundtable on March 19th from 6:00-7:30 PM at Kleburg Auditorium. We invite any students, residents or fellows with interest in QI to attend.

Faculty experts in QI and patient safety will be present to discuss trainee involvement in QI and answer questions. We will discuss practical tips and tools for QIPS involvement across the different pavilions and provide time for facetime and mingling with faculty and other trainees with interest in QI.
